The Travel Dude Approved Travel Destination

You might not be interested in going on a train ride across a desolate country, but Trevor Morrow’s personal experience tells a different story. He’s stayed in remote, underdeveloped countries, shared a room with enormous spiders, and took weekly showers. But he’s also splurged on Michelin-starred cuisine, wore fancy clothing for formal events, and flew first-class. Despite these extreme experiences, Trevor Morrow’s travel philosophy is to balance them.

Eleven Experience’s Deplar Farm

The first thing to know about Deplar Farm is that the hotel is owned by the experiential travel company Eleven Experience. These guys specialize in creating extreme outdoor experiences and have outposts all over the world. This farm has the highest-end hotel in the country, but it doesn’t like to call itself a hotel. Instead, it’s more of a place to enjoy yourself and spend some time with family and friends.

While the resort itself is quite luxurious, the main attraction at the farm is skiing. There are several activities, all included in the all-inclusive rate. Guests can enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling in between mountain summits. Some activities even include whale-watching and skeet shooting. The hotel is also perfect for relaxation with a massage and a yoga session.

The heli-skiing program is perhaps the most popular activity at Deplar Farm. It is available for groups of up to four people. It costs about $11,200 per person for four days, including transportation from the Akureyri airport and all meals and alcohol. Guests are welcome to come in groups, as well, and the farm can also be rented out to corporate retreats.

The Trevor Morrow travel guide is full of travel tips and tricks. His expertise in travel makes him a perfect source of advice. Having visited more than a hundred countries, he knows how to find the best deals and stay safe abroad. Among his travels, he’s lived in every state in the U.S. (including Alaska and Hawaii), so you can count on him for a reliable and informative travel guide.

Eleven Experience’s Reykjavik

In his new book, The Travel Dude, Trevor Morrow explores Iceland. Iceland is a destination with a growing travel market. In 2016, 1.7 million tourists visited the country, and the number is expected to double by the end of the year. The Icelandic capital is also an excellent choice for a honeymoon or an anniversary getaway. To help visitors plan their trip, the travel dude has developed a guide to the area, which he authored.
